ngj_sunday_opening_jcdc_8_for_webFeaturing: The Peacemakers Mento Band!

As part of its new initiative to be open to the public every last Sunday of the month, the National Gallery will again be open on Sunday 29, from 11 am to 4 pm.

Visitors will be able to view National Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition and the National Gallery’s permanent exhibitions, the newly reinstalled Kapo Galleries included. Free guided tours of the exhibitions and collections will start at 11:30 am, 1 pm and 3 pm, respectively, and there will be a special children’s activity tour which will start at 2 pm. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Peacemakers Mento Band, which will perform from 2 to 3 pm.

Admission, tours and other gallery activities are free on July 29 but contributions to our donations box are welcomed. Participation in these tours is free but on a “first come, first served” basis and the maximum number of participants in each tour is 30.

Our gift and coffee shops will be open for business. Donations are welcomed and, along with gift and coffee shop revenues, play an important role in the funding of our programmes.
