The Edna Manley Gallery


This is a specialized gallery, devoted to the life and works of Edna Manley, wife of National Hero the Rt. Hon. Norman Washington Manley and mother of the former Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Michael Manley. Divided into three periods – Early, Middle and Later years – this gallery charts her artistic development from shortly before her arrival to Jamaica in the early 1920’s to becoming a leading and highly respected figure in the development of the Jamaican nationalist art movements. The works on include selections from the Edna Manley Memorial Collection, other NGJ collections and long term loans.
